Villarreal Earned A Surprising 1-1 Tie At Barcelona

Villarreal earned a surprising 1-1 tie at Barcelona on Saturday in Spain’s La Liga.

Barcelona won its first seven La Liga home matches, but dropped points for the first time this season to leave the door open for Real Madrid to take over the top spot Sunday.

Villarreal continued its impressive form in Spain’s La Liga. Also Villareal have been rising up the standings with six wins and a draw in their last nine and has moved to the top half of the table and sits just eight points out of the top four.

Pedro fired Barcelona into the lead just seven minutes into the game when he found a rebound off the post from a Thierry Henry shot.

Barcelona did remain unbeaten, drawing for the fourth time in 16 matches.

Also Saturday  Atletico Madrid beat Sevilla 2-1, and Valencia defeated Espanyol 1-0.
